Texas retail registration renewal: what owners ask

Short answers first, then the source for each. This guide covers the retail registration issued by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) for stores that sell consumable hemp products.

How much does it cost?

How long does it last?

Where do I renew it?

In DSHS Online Licensing Services, signed in with the login you made for this registration. DSHS requires a login separate from any other DSHS license you hold. If the registration isn't linked to your login yet, answer Yes at Quick Start and add it; then renew it. Source: DSHS registration guide.

What does the application ask for?

The organization's legal name, its tax number (entered twice), its entity type, a main and a mailing address, and one business location entry per store with the name customers see. It ends with an attestation to Health and Safety Code chapter 443 and 25 TAC chapters 229 and 300, then the fee. Source: DSHS registration guide.

How do I check whether a store is registered?
